good job on getting a job!
I need a job myself, I was getting by OK wrenching on cars, but with the economy crunch, people are letting things slide just to keep food on the table, so its been too slow to just do that.
I really like Grand Prix's. I have yet to drive a newer F-body but with a family, I am going to stick to a 4 door grand prix.

why do you want to spend so much money? you have no idea how long you are gonna have this job, especially with the job market the way it is.
Drive your blazer and save some money

I'd catch up on any bills, then put away a small nest egg incase this job does not pan out. What about a G6 or a Solstice or Sky. The Turbo versions kick butt. 5 speed manual of course

I kind agree with ordonez1307. You will start on Tuesday. You will have no idea how long you will work. Maybe they will not like you and let you go. You will never know. My job hire some new people last month. They didn't do very good job so they let them go after month of hire. I would wait it out maybe like 6 months or year either to see how your job doing. Of course bill is #1 important to do. I know new car is exciting but I think you are too exciting and horny for that. Chill down and take easy lol Oh about Pontiac G6. My dad have one and they are not crap

You haven't even worked a day there and are talking about a big committment on buying a car. The two biggest payments in life are probably buying a car and a house. I see too many people that just wanna jump in and get them as fast as they can and it just doesn't work out for them. Obviously, the best way to buy something is outright. Luckily, I was able to do that when I got my car. Now i'm working on the house deal. Believe me, I don't (and won't) live with my parents the rest of my life, but I have a good chunk of change at least for a down payment for a house. You might call it taking advantage, but believe me i'm paying for rent and helping put food on the table while saving money at the same time.
Good luck on whatever you plan to do in the future!!!
