3.4 from 3.1 into 90 GP

Im new at this so does anyone know if you can get a 3.4 DOHC into a 1990 Grand Prix LE 2 door with a 3.1? Does the exhaust need to be changed? I have a 4 speed auto 440 tranny in it, does that need to be changed? thanks for any help
