I like sunfires... What's wrong with sunfires?

Why is everybody ratting on the sunfires?

I'd LOVE to take a sunfire and drop a mod'd L36/L67 in it. Would take some work but it would be FAST!

And drummer, got any in black? wink

Sunfire's I must say are a chick's car.

Actually that Trans Am is one of my friends, and before you guys go judging saying, "oooh, look what mommy and daddy bought him", he actually worked and earned all the money for that car. He teaches guitar lessons for a music studio making like $22 an hour. This is his second T/A, the first one was a 99, had 120k on it and was black, then he sold that one and bought the red, it's an '02 with 85k on it. It's a really nice car and he's modded it too. Texas Speed MS3 cam, heads, longtubes, and more. I believe he ran an 11.6 with it (using drag radials)

So that is alot of the reason why I am so partial to Trans Ams, because I have first hand seen their full potential and seen how mean, yet still slick looking they can be.

(side note - 3000 posts!!! yeah baby, woooohoo!)

The guys isn't a TA fan so what. He stated he's an early 70s mopar guy.

I think everyone needs to cool down I've seen many members bash other makes and or models. We don't need a flame war. If it continues this thread will disapeer.

I'm not a fan of flip up headlights either. But I'm not going to condemn a make for one styling flaw I dont agree with. That's why I am a much bigger Camaro fan then a TA. Those little styling differences.

I've been drooling over the crate camaro that the guys on Muscle Car (Spike TV) are building. I actually had a dream last night that I was building one in my garage. cheers

I looked up the kit online. I figure the sheet metal will cost about $15k. Then you have the power plant, chassis, and everything else....

Not cheap by any means. But damn it would be sexy. I want to build one and drop an LS7 in it.

holy crap, man i want to do a 69 camaro or a 68 mustang, what i really want them to do is a '70 chevelle, that would be my cup of tea.

actually i really like T/A's a lot, but the one thing i dont like about them is the flip up headlights, i dont see how hard it would be to get some projectors or something that just fits in the hole

have you ever looked at the "hole" that is there. it would take a lot of work, the angle is so exteme (probably 160*) that you would have to work some magic.

I love the flip out headlights. An LS1 WS6 is going to be my next car

i know the hole is difficult, but then again look at the newer corvettes, the angle isnt that extreme, but you see what im saying?

I like the Trans Am, but to be honest, the SPOILER I think is ugly...and kinda ricey...

But hey, when you've got a car that fast with that much potential, I could overlook something as simple as a spoiler. wink

and you opted out of the 20k quick ship? wow. What MOS again are you requesting, again?

The way I figure the retro-fit would be to TRY and use the C6/Z06 headlights and get someone real good with fiberglass. Or try and make a shelf yourself and put whatever projectors you want in there. Then making lenses wouldnt be that hard, I wouldnt think.
