I had a noisy alternator 3yrs ago on my 98GT. I bought new bearings/brushes from a shop. than the alt puked so i just bought a remaned unit. sold the 98 and got a GTP. sold that last month. bought a 99 GT last fall and the alt. just started growling. took off serp belt and its a bad bearing. woohoo. only took 3 cars but i might finally use the bearings.
