Well my check engine light came on friday night right before i went racing and me and my dad to it to autozone to get them to do a quick reading to see what the problem was and it is a problem with the emisson system...not to specific so my dad got to looking at the truck and decided that it is probably the catalytic converter... and in true fashion my dad said to ignore the light and drive it till it gives out then we sell it and get something new. he does that alot with cars when the catalytic converter went out on his 1997 camaro he sold it and bought a 2002 NHRA special edition Trans AM. I am hoping to get the new 2005 Ranger STX with the 4.0 liter V6 that has 207 HP@5,250 and 238lb.-ft.@3,000 hammer hammer hammer . They seem to be a little hard to find though because the dealer i talked to here in waco said that he had only seen one STX and it was bought from another dealership for a customer and was on the lot for less than a day.

well the ranger is still here but not for much longer it seems the problem was more serious then we thought after i got a new tank of gas the service engine light went off so we thought ok just might have been a bad tank of gas. well yesterday the light came back on and i thought ok its just the emissions thing again. well today me and my dad looked under the hood and the radiator was empty jawdrop didnt see that coming cause the engine hasnt been running hot or anything so we refilled the raidator and when i got home from my friend shiken house i poped the hood to see it it was still full and low and behold it was empty but the engine still wasnt running hot so it seem that something is seriously wrong with the truck and were not sure how long it will last. man im going to miss that truck i've put about 40,000 miles on her in the year and a half i've had her.

it was 1999 but today we traded it in for a 2000 firebird with 62,000 miles after trade-in the total cost was $6,819 to be paid off at $200 a month for 34 months as soon as i can i will have pictures of it. it was pretty funny me and my mom were going to buy school books for the upcoming year when we decided to stop by the dealership to see what they had on sale and as we were walking up are dealer saw us and told us he had a secret for us he led us around some SUV's and sitting there was this maroon firebird i didn't even have to talk my mom into it she told me that if they would give her more then 3000 for the ranger it was ours. all we have to do is go to the bank tomorrow and finalize the loan. cheers

I hope that Firebird has a V8. I know I can get a similar '00 V6 Firbird for 5k~ off the lot, no trade in. Same for a Camaro of similar year. I really have no faith in dealerships unless you're buying something new. Otherwise, pay a visit to the smaller private salesmen and find one who is honest and likes to deal.

if a firebird has a V8 it is considered a Trans AM and we have bought 6 cars from the same guy at the dealership before this one. it still has the factory warrenty on it and it also came with a tire warrenty that covers the tires for 36 months or 36,000 miles which ever comes first.

So it does have a V6. Factory warranty transfers despite who sales it, as long as the years/milage aren't up... Unless you got an extended warranty? As for tires, over paying for a warranty on tires doesn't justify the price. You can buy a new quality set of tires for under $1000 easy.

How much credit did they actually give you for that Ranger? Sounds like they came out ahead on the deal. I'd watch myself before dealing with them again and shop around.
