It's an album selling contest.

They make far too much money. My friend told me that Kenny Chesney made $65 million last year. Its crazy how much money you can make if you're good/popular enough.

The thing is these days, you don't even have to be good, you can be terrible as long as a certain someone or somebodies knows you, you're in!

rap and hip-hop could fall off the Earth today and I would shed not a tear...I think its the lousiest excuse for "music" (and I use that term very loosely) that I've ever heard. I miss the old Motown stuff...country today is darn near what rock used to be. Not that i really miss the old country mind you...my Dad listened to it all the time and it was some of the most wailing, crying and depressing music. I really understand when they call it "crying in your beer"

To me, rap and hip-hop is the reason all these old coot bands keep going back on tour...there arent any new guys coming up to replace them.

Tbat, I agree that most of the classic country is rather depressing, however there's Family Tradition, Never Called Me By My Name, Black Sheep of the Family, and boy, the list goes on. There's some real good, rowdy, blast the roof off the barn country music out there.

The more rowdy rap music, IMO, merely incites riots and such. There's no real fun AND rowdy rap out there, aside from MR Will Smith (used to be called Fresh Prince when he and Jazzy Jeff were together).

new music sucks, my past best friend who met some girl is in love with that chesney guy, what i think I think he sucks and so does 90% of newer music, all hail VH. old country ya know mr, cash and kenny rogers were ok, but country music being popular like rock was I agree and its a shame. The rocker girls used to be so hot, I do love though pullin up to some place in the ghetto with like Ratt playin Lay IT DOWN< Lay it down, RIGHT NOw, and all the blacks will look at ya like BEEP BEEP whats with that white boy.

this album selling contest reminds me of the south park episode -Faith + 1- it was on comedy central last night... that one is hilarious, but i feel like im going to hell after i watch it
