On the south side of the Baltimore Beltway. It was yellow coming up from behind me. Looked a lot like a Enzo from the front (at least the hood did) It was an older man and he was driving very slow and cautious Good looking car.

The 05 mustang looks to be something to watch out for. New Motor Trend tested an 05 GT AUTOMATIC and it ran a 5.3 0-60 and 1/4 mile in 13.6 or 13.5 at 99mph. They estimated the stick to run low 13s. Those are GTO numbers. The blown cobra is going to kick ass. Then again so will the LS2 GTO.

But see the difference between the Mustang and the GTO is 1 major factor.... the GTO is a 30K car with 1 trim level and one set of options.
The mustang is a car that ranges from 20K to 35K -- which mean like usual the interior and build will be that of a 20K car. Every Mustang that I ever go into was the same way -- cheeeeezzzzzy. Fast but cheesy - If i want fast and Cheezy i will get a Neon SRT4 and with very few mods run 12s...

Oh im not saying the mustang is better or nicer. I like the GTO all the way. Just that the performance is nearly equal so dont take it for granted and be on your toes.

I work with a guy that has an 02 or 03 GT. He's always talking about how fast it is, by the way, it's all stock. I ended up getting behind him on the way to work, it was a short stretch on the frontage road. He nailed it and I was glued on his tail. He could shake me for anything. When we got parked, he got out and was asking which is rated faster than the other. I looked at him and smiled, The Mustang. Once everyone I work with got in I told them about it and now there all riding him because his Mustang GT couldn't shake a V-6.

zachd - I saw that same show and yes the Corvette was insane. Cruising at 165 and from the interior shot you would've thought he was going 60-70 tops, not all shaky and noisy... it truly was "cruising" along at speeds in excess of 170mph. Friggin' great. Now, if only I could manage to sell of some organs on the black market to buy one...

I could actually get one but I dont want to swing the larger car payment. I like have a cheaper car payment and being able to change cars and put money into them. if i bought a vette it woudl get nothing done to it because of the cost.....ahhh welll the show was friggin great i wish they would re run it.
