When you Dad sees you holding a package from UPS when he is a QVC shopper and is expecting something and says "Eww, what's that!" and you say it's for the car each time!

if you leave out the house late at night to just take a drive and let everyone see your freshly waxed car.

save car parts that you dont want to sell.......you just....keep them.....maybe i should through them away now.......hmm?

i think i got everyone on this... you take your lunch box to work at the mall just so you can save that little bit of money to put into the car

with the car parts... you have a bunch of old parts laying around but you dont want to get rid of them because you might need them some day

If you roll down your window at a stoplight (even when its @#$*! cold) so you can hear the exhaust note of a tough looking ride you just spied...you just might be a carguy

If you have more pictures of your car than you do your wife or your kids (or both)...you might be a carguy :p

If you chronicle your past days and experiences by which car you owned at the time...you might be a carguy

If you suddenly turn down the stereo (or turn it slam off) as you enter the highway so you can hear the intake/exhaust as you accelerate...you just might be a carguy

When you go inside at night and you click your key fob, the lights flash and you wink back and tell the car goodnight...you are hopelessly a carguy.

I'll admit, I'm guilty of at times (after smoking a ricer, for example) patting the dashboard on my car and saying I love you.

I think T-bat just pwned all the other answers...but I guess that's what happens when you're talking from the heart.

You have a pile of broken parts you can't let go of because they remind you of the history you have with your car.
