If you've ever replaced a mechanical fuel pump or ignition module by the roadside, on your way to work, or a water pump in your driveway during a snowstorm (twice!), you might be a car guy... wink

If you can gap a set of ignition points by eye, and the car starts and runs within 2* of spec, you might be a car guy.

If you've ever fixed a friend's car at some ungodly hour, because gremlins never sleep, you might be a car guy.

Thanks, Ace! I've gotten the "I'm in a jam, can you help me out?" call many, many times, and never kicked anyone to the curb, that's for sure. wink

If you can tell number of cyl/make/cammed and possibly muffler type by exhaust note alone, before you ever actually see the vehicle...you might just be a carguy cheers

If seeing a roadster version of a hot exotic sports car or muscle machine evokes the same wide eyed, open jaw, heavy breathing response as a topless supermodel...you are definitely a carguy hammer

If you've ever spent three hours replacing a coupler to fix a rattle, instead of going to the $tealer$hip, and are still feeling good about it... cheers cheers cheers

If you spent more on your car for Christmas than your brothers/sisters/significant others COMBINED, ya might be a car guy/gal.

If your excuse for doing a top-swap was "well the head gaskets ARE 8 years old..." you might be a car guy/gal.

If you feel safer driving in snow than on pavement, you might be from Wisconsin.

... wait?

Tbat, one of those reminds me of myself. I have been able to identify alot of cars now just by hearing them start up. The first noise of exhaust and ignition going on, I guess and usually get it right! That means I am a car guy.
