My sister has an 2001 alero and her fuel pump went out. I told my dad to look in the trunk for the pump and it isn't there. I thought GM had the same design for all the cars? Will you have to drop the tank on here car or what?

most likely ... im not for shure tho .. but most of the time you have to drop the tank then take the fuel pump out of the top of the tank ... some old neons you had to take it out of the side of the tank ... but mostlikely you have to drop the tank

The pump will not be in the trunk. What will be in the trunk is an access panel. Remove the access panel and you'll be able to remove the pump through the access panel.
