Poor guy, I had to leave my bike in a parking lot today. It's been raining here nonstop for 2 weeks, so it was nice today so I figured I'd take a ride. None of my riding buddies were around, but I figured I'd go out anyway. So I was about 1/2 hour away from home and hit a downpour so I stopped at a Mobil station and hung out with a few other bikers. It finally let us, so I made a run for it. I hit the highway and it started pouring again. It was such a nice day that I went riding without my gloves. I now have bruises on my hands because it was raining so hard on the highway (and I was doing 90). I finally got off the highway and had to ditch the bike and call for a ride.

It sucks, now my bike is 3 towns away and I have to wait for the rain to let up, or get my truck down there to get it home.

I'll cut my losses by remembering that I can hit 60 in under 3 seconds....if I can keep the front wheel on the ground. devilgrin hammer

Heck I'd rather ride my "slow" cruiser any day over the GP smile But I don't let a little rain cause me to leave my bike a few towns away smile

I'll be honest, I haven't treated my new leather coat for the rain. And we had flooding situations all over town.
