Well my father in-law was sick of me killin him on the road with my GP so he went out and bought the RSM Supercharger for his Grand AM. It put his numbers from 170 crank HP to about 260 crank HP. And when I when up agansit him after that I gained respect for the Grand AM. Its one fast car now. I will post pics when I get a chance.

Ok how much did that set up cost him? Take the same amount and put into your car wink The GA will still be bottom rung smile

RSMs run about $4.3k from PFYC... that's cheaper than what RSM charges. I've looked into them because it works on the 3100 in my GP. Overpriced for the gains, but its the only option besides a custom turbo or the redneck path: cut a hole in the upper intake and mount an eaton on top.

GAs weigh less than the GP, so they get more speed for the hp... their trannies aren't set up for the hp though.

The other question is how long will the engine or tranny put up with it?

Impressive and interesting, though.

No, it's got the 3400 V6, notice the hp numbers he quoted? It's putting out 20 more hp than a stock L67.

Mark, and other people who also put one on said that as long he doesn't do whoel shots with it the engine and tranny will be prefectly fine. and it has the 3.4 in it. I drove the car to a friends who has a GTP and this car had no problem at 3/4 throttle beatin the GTP. I'm not puttin the Grand AM on the top. I would nver buy this car I love the GPs. But with this mod the Grand AM is alittle sleeper. I told him to give me 4K and we will put the Stattama Kit in my car then we will see what happens.. cheers

LOL...little engine, its .4 liters smaller then ours, and so far with me scanning it and seeing that the car is doing everything seems to be perfect he is getting 2* of knock but once I put the 180* Tstat in it was gone. And 8lbs isn't that much consitering he has dual Exhuast, hv tb, aftermarket PCM, CAI, he is running 8psiwith no problem. when we took it to my mechanic who works on all gm cars and has the scanner to see what the cars is saying, we could go easly to 10psi but he was happy with what he has.
