I was looking at Oreilys at there 5% static cling tint and i thought to myself how nice that stuff would be if a state trooper/police tried to pull you over for your window tint. You could simply remove it while there in their car pulling up and you could get away with it or maybe just get a warning or I guess in worse case you'd just make officer mad at you. But afterall you dont have any tint and they can meter the window all they like, itd be legal..

I just roll my windows down. I just got a ticket for speeding and cop didn't flinch at my 15% tint. I have the windshield done lower than legal too.

Well, I'm saying if the cop pulls you over and you have the static cling tint itd be easy to remove before the officer approached the vehicle. What are they honestly gonna do in that situation? Right you a ticket for tint that isnt on the window? I'd tell them their seeing things and to have a goodday/night. As long as your windows on the back are 5% you wouldn't have a problem with this because the officers cant see you anyway. Just offering some ideas for those of us who want to tint our front windows but dont wanna get a ticket and have to pay a fine or tear off expensive tint.

3 weeks after i got my fronts done 15%, got pulled over, cop took a razor to my window and removed it right in front of me. He said he didnt feel like writing out a useless ticket, that he would do the job for me. 2 days after that, i had the windows retinted for free

Ya, Oreily's sells em, but dont you think it'd be illegal for the cop to tear your tint off? I've heard of this actually done but isnt that obstruction of your property. I dont know anything with laws, but I do know that sounds a lil well...bad.
