They have fantastic prices and even better coupons. I go there for all my tool needs, You can get 4.5" grinders for 9.99 and air chizels for 6.99 with those coupons.

With that coupon, get a big air compressor.

I've shopped there. Remember you get what you pay for.

For generic stuff it's great but when it comes to power tools and anything that requires precision I'd spend the money on better quality.

For example I got a metric tap and die set for cheap. When I got home and opened the set the cutters on the taps were full of burrs looked like they never went through a "finish" step. Cast the pieces then just cut the grooves with no finishing. I was given a 1/4 sheet orbital sander for christmas one year it was noisey as heck and I only got roughly 3 hours of use out of it. That same christmas I was given a set of impact sockets. To get them off of my impact wrench I have to clamp the socket and wrench in my vise then use a heavy hammer and punch to bang the wrench out of the socket. PITA.

I just went there the other day and spent $35:
*22' huge crescent wrench
*40-drawer parts drawer/bins
*$3 multimeter to throw in the trunk so I don't have to carry around my $300 one.
*bunch of rope
*2 other things I can't remember

not bad. definitely the best place to get cheap tools that wear out.

Not everything is junk right?
I was considering the $80ish aluminum 4ton jack. Mine sucks and I want aluminum.
Do you guys think I should snag it?

That should be good. I'd avoid tools that require precision.

I buy many tools thier. I consider them the POOR MAN'S HOME DEPOT. If im doing a job and need the tool for only 1 or 2 jobs then I buy thier china made junk. lets be real any man worth his trade knows a 4.3 sawzaw from harbor for only 29.00 is made for triming bushes in your yard. Not for a stick job for a few homes. buyer be carefull ! yes you can score some china made tools for your boys first car so he dont lose yours. MAN YOU GOT TO LOVE THIS COUNTRY

Harbor Freight has never done me wrong. They were the ONLY place locally where I could find external Torx sockets for tearing my steering column apart.
