Okay guys,
Since I don't know the beginning, I want like to have some insight. I was reading from Clubgp about the 'battle' between DHP (Charles) and Intense (Scott). Now, I just want to know, what gives. I don't mean to step on anyone shoes on this site, like Brian. I just want some honest and unbiased explanation because it's crazy on Club gp. Thanks.

Yeah, that question will generally begin a flame session over there.
Intense doesn't lock their PCM's so you can send it back and have them update it to your specs. ..also Intense has theirs for only $99.00.

A new PCM will do your stock set up good. PCM's do have their benefits... cooling fan stays on for 3 minutes (Intense) after ignition is turned off, higher shift points for the transmission, cooling fan comes on at 180*, etc...

PCM's have become very reasonable since a little competition started,a very good mod any way you go and I would have to say go intense because of the options and custom tuning ,in fact I am anxiously awaiting a custom tune from them and hope the results are what I want .

Don't you have to take your car and the PCM to instense to have it customized? Not sure I will ever take my car that far.

No you don't. You can order you PCM from Intense. If you choose the Standard, for example, you have a few options available. If you choose the custom, you can have whatever your heart desires, for seriously modded only.
You will be charged a core fee which is refundable upon Intense receiving your PCM.

Wouldn't the only TRUE customization require the car to be there? for instance, can they predict the difference between a 3" DP and a 2" DP and adjust the PCM accordingly?

I bought the Intense for my 2004 CompG and had no problems... but I have no experience with the DHP.

On long trips you can click off the "Perf Shift" and that'll put you back to stock driving mode of the PCM. Besides, when your doing highway driving you won't see that much of a decrease in gas mileage. It's when you get in the stop and go traffic, and flooring the pedal is when you'll see your milage go down, but like I said... click off the perf shift and you're running stock settings.

I bought the Intense for my 2004 CompG and had no problems... but I have no experience with the DHP. Jizz. I was reading something today about Intense PCM's for 04's destroying pistons. Something to do with running the cars really rich because of some unknown factor. I don't have any other details, just something i browsed over earlier tonight. May be true, maybe not, but worth a look.
