well yesterday i came down with a stomach virus. And havent eaten anything for about 32 hours (my brother had the samething the night before and it went away after one night) so i decided to go over to a friends house after i got feeling better while there i started to get really hungry so i decided to go to Taco Bell since it was the closest place that was still open at midnight. on the way there i was behind a Dodge Neon that was beside a Mustang GT all of a sudden the Neon swerved and tried to hit the Mustang i thought wow another stupid waco driver that tried to change lanes and didn't look what ever no big deal it happens all the time here in waco well then the neon stood on his breaks i thought that he had touched his breaks to slow down to let the mustang pass so he could turn off the road but no he came to a complete stop in the third lane of traffic and he i was going about 35 still i slammed on the breaks to try to stop but he was already at a complete stop or going about 5 mph. it looks like my raidator and airbox jammed into the engine and it might have frame damage. and because of texas law it is automaticaly my fault and since my parents have been in too many wrecks we will most likely be dropped from our policy. all in all a very crazy night but the good news is no one was hurt except for a pulled muscle in my back which i am starting to feel. i will try to get photos tomorrow.

My girlfriend had an accident like that. We fought it and I went to court as a witness. I argued that he had clearly slammed on his brakes due to his erratic driving plus the amount of damage was not inicative of a rolling bump.

She got the accident removed from her record and the other guy had to pay.

Did the guy in the Mustang happen to stop? I think that if you had a witness saying he was driving like a nutjob then he would probably have to pay for the damage and the accident would be ruled his fault, that deffinately looks bad enough to show that there was some panic braking involved by that guy and if there was no reason to panic I would think he should be held responsible but I don't know about Texas law.

the guy in the mustang did stop but the officer that wrote the report "FORGOT" to include him in her statement as well as the passanger in the neon. therefore when i talked to the insurance company and gave my recorded statement it made me seem like a liar when i told her about witnesses and a passanger in the car when they wern't mentioned in the police report. so now the insurance company will have to do a full investagation into the accident instead of just going by the police reports and calling the witnesses. D**n Waco Cops.

well it has been officially totaled by the insurance company. they are giving us $9,745.44 for the car we still owe something like $6,200 on it so we will get some where in the neighborhood of $3,500 in a check. i've been looking at GTP's what do you guys think a good price for an 04 GTP with 23,000 miles. they have one at the dealership we use but i think that they want a little too much for it since they want $17,000 for it.
