i watched something about this on nat geo, called taboo very intresting tv show, they say it is painless to do because your eye itself has no nerves but you have to keep your eye still and cant move it at all, there is a thin membrain they have to put the ink into,
as for the enviorment, the people that do the tat in the eye alot of them read and study and look into the process and use pigs heads to pratice on, but they are not certified because they didnt go to school to get a docterate SP? it was a very very intresting show is what i must say

I think that is crazy to do though! I love tattoo's and getting tattoo's but NEVER on my eye!
