well today i was just driving to get some food and i go to accel from a red light and i get to about 35 mph when the the cars goes into "nuetral" it was in drive tho....so im like great...i pull into a side street and turn the car off and then back on and now the car drives but the speedo doesnt work. the rmps do..then i let the car sit for about 2 and a half hours go to turn it on and drive it and its the perfectly fine....speedo works. tranny felt fine...idk what the hell happened....and ideas/help please

i really hope its nothing bad cause im just about to order a HV3....

than again...if its tranny i can go get new for the a big piece of my turbo build!

im guessing tranny, the pcm is all ran by the pcm, but if the rpms work, i wonder if if you have a short somewhere

It could be your speed sensor going out... If the pcm doesn't know how fast the car is going it doesn't know which gear to put the tranny in.

When mine did that to me, it turned out that crap from the tranny wedged itself between the final drive housing and the reluctor wheel that the sensor uses to determine speed.

ok.. do you suggest maybe a new zzp pcm when i order my HV3...would that possibly do the job?

My car does the same thing. Usually after its rained heavily. Once my car dries out, its good to go. The HUD works fine, so I'm good for now.
