We just got a white one at a local dealership. I stare at it every day. I might have to go and test drive it.

Yea, but if you goign to buy the GT I would find a dealer that has one for you to test drive, I had to drive 30 miles out of my way to test drive the V8. The 80 or so dealers in my area didn't have them they only had the V6. From driving the V6 to the V8 its two different beasts.

I was at the dealership on Monday with my grandpa and they had a fully-loaded G8 GT in the red/orange color sitting out front. Needless to say while we were waiting we went to check it out. My grandpa is good friends with pretty much everybody there so they threw him the keys and told him to take it out for a spin. We only started it up and revved it a little bit though because it was the only one they had but we'll go back to get one to drive for the day when they get more. Overall I was even more impressed with this car than I was at the auto show, probably because there wasn't a line of people waiting for me to get out. Both front and backseats are very comfortable and the exhaust note is amazing. I wasn't a huge fan of the color and the taillights still need to grow on me a little bit. Other than that it is a great car and I can't wait for the chance to take one for a spin.

Yea the Challenger, it looks nice, but it has the same engine as the SRT-8, also if you plan on modding it its goign to be hard, as far as I remeber my friend ca tune his SRT-8 but one the little things nothing major. There are already mods out for the LS3. Also the Charger SRT-8 is tight, its really not a comforable car, the G8 is very comforable. Well the driver seat was, its really not goingt o matter what the pass seat feels like. For a Charger fully oaded it cost you close to 40, oppy the fully loaded GXp wil not be as close.

Stangs Dominate Mopar. Mopar lost their touch after they stopped making the chargers and challengers yea they had the neon srt-4 and they stopped makin those but a stock 03 stang pulled on a fully modded srt-4 in 3rd gear that shows you mopar doesnt have wat they use to sure they brought the chargers and challengers back but ford has the super snake and chevy has the supercharged vette and pontiac has the G8 GXP now. Mopar what happened?

I would say the SRT8 stable of cars (300C/Charger/Challenger) are pretty stout performers. Fords Shelby Cobra and the new Vette are sporting blowers for their extra punch. If you added a blower to the 6.1 Hemi I'm sure it would be a stormer as well. Add to that a Stang should pull a Neon since its howling a turbo 4. Stangs are dominating everyone in sales now cuz there isnt competition. The Camaro isnt in production and the Challenger has yet to hit a showroom. Nothing personal against the Stang but there was a whole bevy of them on display at NYC and to be honest it looked 12 of the same girl wearing different dresses. GM on the other hand seems to be planning on building a veritable plethora of vehicle off of the Zeta platform. Besides the G8 and the upcoming Camaro, the GMC area showed a concept called the Denali XT. If this is the future of trucks then count me in. This was not another warmed over Holden. Powered by the next gen hybrid setup that now resides in the Tahoe/Yukon, this 4.9 V8 is direct injected and flex fuel capable, all while cranking 326hp. This truck could send the Honda Ridgeline whimpering behind the nearest Home Depot. Think of a cross between a G8 and a Chevy Avalanche, complete with folding back seat and pass thru cargo (to an already sizeable bed) The concepts wheels were a bit oversized in my opinion but I did love the twin side exhausts. It will be intersting to see what a production model will bring...lets pray to not have another Aztek fiasco. The orange G8 GXP in attendance was super sharp looking save for my pet peeve rear spoiler and the red GT nearby was no slouch. The G8 sport truck was looking sleek and muscular but I was surprised to see so little space behind the seats inside (gimme enough for lunch pail guys) However IMO the little show stealer was the Solstice Coupe. Equipped with targa roof panel and alift up back glass it has the flavor of a small vette (not bad flavor at all mind you) the only failing being that the roof panel did not stow inside the car. A soft panel is provided for quick instal in the event of weather. The over all look of the car with the roof in is low and very aero, much more so than the soft top car. Sans the targa its downright sports car. Given $4 a gal gas this 260hp turbo is worthy modern day successor to the F-body of old. check out the coupe... http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/autosh...acsolsticeroof2 and the Denali XT... http://www.topspeed.com/cars/gmc/2008-gmc-denali-xt-ar51763.html
