Wow, the ol' GP's come a long ways in the 3 months that I've owned it... here's some old pics that surprised me when I stumbled across them, followed by new ones, taken today. Enjoy!

These first 3 are the Grandma car it used to be-

...and the car it is today (certainly not a race car, but at least not a grandma car!)

Good job.

Did you get that wrinkle fixed on the passengerside fender yet?

Thats nice. I can't tell if you added a wing or not but I can tell you removed the "se". Did you paint the red inserts yourself? Looks good man smile .

Yeah, I just put a stock spoiler on... GP's are one of those cars that look absolutely naked without one! I did all the interior work too, paint, new speakers, and best of all upgraded to leather (still no door panels though) instead of cloth! Thanks for all the compliments guys! cheers

Oh, yeah, Herc, I did replace the fender. Got a complete replacement piece off eBay, already painted black for $10 + shipping!! Oh the joy of eBay...

Yeah, with shipping, ended up costing me around $50... but still, pre-painted, no hassle, bolt it on and go!

As you guys can see, the guy that had it before me neglected the car appearance wise, still took good care of the engine/drivetrain, but hey, I bought it for a grand, and I've put about $1500 into it, and there ya go! I think she looks pretty good!

I'm torn between selling her and getting a 2dr GTP, or dropping in an L67 with lower miles... 140k on current L36 engine. What do you guys think I should do?

I say keep her and put in the new engine yourself... more fun that way and you can honestly say you built this car and are designing it the way YOU want it!

Keep it. Have that L36 redone and make it a screamer ala Chico.

No L67, Herc? If I were to do that, I'd be paying someone to rebuild it, because that's not anything I'd wanna take on! I really want to hear the whine of the supercharger when you get up into those high RPM's... love it!

Nice, I also have a se bumber and Im trying to swap it so I want to know did you do the swap yourself and if so how long did it take and was it hard to put on. Far as paint how much it cost.

Well, that's part of the problem... the swap is not hard... you need a new mounting bracket for the front bumper (you know the plastic push pins that hold it on? the holes above the chin spoiler don't line up with the current bracket). The back bumper you will need 2 small brackets for right behind the rear wheels, to mount to the frame. Mine didn't come with them, and I'm still trying to locate some. No luck though.

Paint will be approx. $200 per bumper (very approximate, quotes Ive gotten have ranged from $150-$500!!). Get color-matched if you can. Talk to Ed Morad, he'll hook you up, I paid $300 for both bumpers, shipped.

When you're ready to do the swap, PM me for more detail on the actual work. It's not as bad as it might look... hope that helps!

Yeah, the car still runs great, only time I have a problem is when its over 100* and the max A/C is on full blast! Other than that though, it's great considering the mileage! Who knows what I'll end up doing... I appreciate all of the insight though guys!
