Just wondering what peoples favorite musicians, guatarist etc are.

My favorite group is Van Halen. My favorite artist is Yngwie Malmsteen. I am not sure if anyone knows that. He in a way kick started the 80s my favorite era.

80's rock would be Def Leppard. I've been to 3 of their concerts and they ROCK!

New stuff, I like Linkin Park but all the rest of my music taste is kind of a hodge-podge. I like a little bit of everything.

80's rock, FTL. Although Tommy Tutone's Jenny (867-5309) is a catchy tune.

Malmsteen does some amazing stuff (too cocky), but I'm more a fan of Petrucci. As far as music, Linkin Park or some of the newer alternative. Occasional heavy: Black Label Society.

I like all kinda of stuff. But my favorite band by far is Sublime.

I'm a big punk/reggae fan, but I grew up listening to Motown and Oldies. I love rap. Basically anything but country music.

Most of the stuff I play on guitar is Sublime or pop music from the 90s (Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, etc)

I pretty much anything that isnt Polka. My faves go from Maurice Ravel to The Game to Toby Keith to Clapton to Temptations to Squirrel Nut Zippers to Manhattan Transfer and Michael Buble. name the artist or genre, I prolly have heard something from them and like it. Caveat: I dont really keep up with artist names and only rarely try to remember track titles.

I like Shuffle, its on my ipod that goes through 6,000 songs. Just click the next arrow if I ain't down with the tune. It has just about everything on it. However, I tend to listen to the Radio alot just cause it is easier to select another station. I enjoy mostly Rock stuff, pretty much inline with Alex.

You'd know "What I got", "Santeria" and "Wrong Way" if you heard 'em. "What I got" went to #1 in 97 I think. No Doubt (and Gwen Stefani) were basically made famous in part because of Sublime. Sublime is also the reason for the Warped Tour that happens every year.

I've got about every sublime bootleg known to man. I love researching their music and finding samples of other tunes/lyrics they used.

I'm glad others on here like the band too. Ordonez, we'll have to hang out sometime. cheers

Here is "What I got":

"Wrong Way":

This is the extended press kit they used to promote their self titled album:

My favorite sublime song "Badfish". It sounds like a happy song, but it really deals with Brad's addiction to Heroin:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI2INBQVpwk

Most of the video/audio of the bootlegs is pretty rough. The band was always drunk/high and Brad (lead vocals and guitar) died 3 months before the release of their big album. So all of the video and audio is from 94-96 and is generally just "ok" quality.

But everyone should listen to their 40oz to freedom album.

Man, I could talk about sublime for hours. cheers
