Doesn't look too bad, but it does have sort of a Dodge-ish look to it. I really like cars with the rectangle quad headlights...that needs to come back. Maybe more of a Pontiac style grill to it as well.

I found it on a yahoo image search, it was at automotivenews.com. The article that the pic was with was from august 05, so this is probably an outdated pic and I hope that the new GTO doesnt look like this. http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im...ec436c&ei=UTF-8

I don't like the lines in the back. I just don't care for the look where the back is up so high.

you know i leased an 04 gto when they first came out. and the one thing i could never figure out is why they choose the rims they did for it. anyways those rims are junk, i dont know why they would put them on the 08. oh well i think the 08 looks like crap, i'd buy the camaro over it any day.

That second one makes me think of a Mustang, with that glass over the headlights like that. Front end overall, to me, just seems...not right. Take some hints from the earlier GTOs, and use quad headlights.

Taken for GMInsidenews.com Pontiac GTO: The Goat will go on a 24-48 month hiatus starting in 2007. While on hiatus, a new GTO will be in the works to arrive in 2008. It will share components with the Camaro, but insiders assure us that they will not share any sheet metal. G6 rumor We’ve heard for a long while now that Pontiac wants to be a true performance niche brand at GM. Apparently they are serious, because rumor has it that the front-wheel drive G6 is cancelled. It’s important to note that the G6 is getting a replacement; what type of replacement that will be is uncertain. It is believed that Pontiac will be replacing the G6 with a similarly sized rear-wheel drive performance car; a 3-series type car if you will If you'd like to keep updated on the current GM and other auto news take a gander at www.gminsidenews.com

I'll hold out for a Challenger. The current GTO makes me happy, but I'd rather have a car that actually looks like an old muscle car.

I'm actually pretty tired of the retro styling. For the price of a new muscle car you can buy a desent muscle car of the vintage you lust for and actually have what you wanted. Not some wannabe clone. for instance GTOs for sale

Thats why if I had the money to buy a new sports car I wouldnt buy a new one. I'd use that money to buy a used viper. If I'm gonna buy a sports car, I'm gonna buy one that not everyone else and their grandma has (mustang and to an extent corvette)

Word is Pontiac is going to dump all FWD platforms and go completely rear wheel drive, for everything. I think I read somewhere recently the Vibe is being dumped, the Torrent is being transferred to GMC, and the Grand Prix will be all rear wheel drive here shortly.

I thought the rumor was that the GP would be killed as well and the G8 would replace it. Isnt the new G8/GP platform the Theta platform or something like that. I dont know why but I remember reading that a while back. Maybe it was the Camaro/GTO that was going on the Theta or w/e.

I think you're right, I did see something about that new platform replacing the GP, but I guess in mind I still considered it would end up with the GP name, even though I've no clue if that will be the case.
Personally, I liked that 'Rageous' concept car they had a few years back. I'd buy one of those....

that does carry some wow factor, but it does look like a full sized hot wheels car. Looks more like a car you'd see in a parade than in someones driveway. And why 4 doors?
