i hooked up my notebook to the monitor and other stuff my pc had. my pc died so the left over's wernt going to waste. then i thought in 10 years this will prb be the size of ur average pc. this pic is my acer aspire 1 notebook hooked up to the monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, and powerjack. got me thinking......

His tower took a dive. So now his laptop is his "pc". He has his mouse, monitor and key board all hooked up to it now instead of the tower.

I know someone who has done this..basically, the keyboard and touch pad on the laptop took a dump, and now has a wireless keyboard and mouse hooked up to the laptop, a good quick fix for those that cant afford a new system in these times

What you did Macus is actually fairly common. This is easily done by buying a docking station. Most docking stations allows you to hook up a monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer (old printer cable style), Ethernet, and usually gives you additional usb ports. You usually can charge the laptop batter(ies) from the docking station.

Docking stations have been around almost as long as laptops.

Glad to see you are able to use that laptop. I hate seeing laptops go to waste.

I think its hilarious that many of the new "netbooks" actually have more processing power/ram/HD space than my old desktop. My new desktop is half the physical size of my old one and lightyears past in abilities...and still wasnt the hottest thing out there I could have bought.

I think pretty soon I'll wind up replacing my DVD/VHS combo player with some kind of hard drive storage for all your videos to be kept digitally. I know Apple already has their "Apple TV" box but its storage space is fairly small compared to my PC...plus I could throw on an external USB hard drive and really expand the storage.

...Where'd you find that generic bottle of Windex? LOL!!!
