Do you remember D-day? Would just like everyone to take time out of their day to remember those who had fallen.

I don't remember D-Day. I still had over 40 years to be conceived. Also, for those who don't know, Americans at Normandy weren't the only event that occurred that day. Hurrah to freedom.

Over 850,000 Allied troops went ashore at Normandy. At the time it was the largest/deadliest amphibious assualt in history.

I remember about that from my history class back in high school.

so i interviewed this guy and he's got to be the most B/A mofo i've ever met...

he was a POW at normandy and him and three others tried to escape at the railroad tracks and they were crossing them and he crawled underneath and they went around.... well they got shot and he lived and escaped... Well he has no identification of any kind and he looks like a homeless german man... so when he passes convoys they don't accept him because they don't believe him... so he walked 300 miles to the french shoreline and found a navy base that was finally able to prove he was an american soldier... but he was barefoot and just crazy stuff... like this dude was way hardcore but he was like 90 when i interviewed him and he had the brain of a 50 year old... he was still like a normal person instead of somebody that's crazy from the war...

oh and he kept some things with him from that time... he had a piece of toilet paper, his bible and his glasses... i forgot about the glasses... he had a bullet hole in his glasses but it was on the edge because the bullet went through his glasses at such an angle that he didn't get hit...

and they had fox holes that they would sleep with partners in... and they would be back to back and they would have to roll over with each other... well one time he went to roll over and he partner was dead but they obviously let him live... crazy crazy stuff...
