Tuesday the 9th Austin hit a high of 81* in the afternoon.
Later that night, it snowed.

LOL... They said we had a chance of snow down here in Houston. We'll see what happens. Last time it did that here I had just driven up to Oklahoma to visit my parents for Christmas. Missed it by under 12hrs... I was pissed.

Yes, we shut down all the business' and put everyone on the icy roads at the same time so everyone can go home. It generally takes 6 hours or more to travel 20 miles.

Luckily what snow fell happened last night and not during the day.

lol when i was in florida last January, they had about 1 inch or so of snow and they had over 40 accidents on the roads!

That's kind cool. I like that. Texas got snow. Ohio don't have any snow. It is nearly 50 yesterday. I didn't use heater on last night.

We had 65 Sunday but 30 MPH winds. Monday has gusts to 50MPH and 2 " of snow, high of 35 and low of 12. The high was at 12:01 from Sunday as the day went downhill from there. Icy roads everywhere hundreds of accidents. I love all the lowered vehicles with WIDE rims with summer tires. They are more fun to watch than the idiots in 4x4s that believe they are invinceable. HELLO, you may be able to accelerate better than me, but you still only have 4 brakes & 4 tires for stopping and lateral traction

That would be awesome if Northern finally got warm weather for rest of season. Southern get some warm/cold season.

At first, I was annoyed that my car is still at the paint shop, so I don't get any pics of it, but then I thought, with a fresh coat of paint, maybe it's not such a bad thing that she missed this.

Winter this year should be interesting. After the hurricane in 1900 (which was very similar to Ike both in intensity & time of the year), there was a record snowfall that winter. But then again, just what is "record" snowfall in Texas? This is only the second time in my 20 years of existence that I know of it snowing like this.
