These are there cardomains.

First one is a turbo 3800 Cavalier. Was shown this by the Matt who has the L67 Cavalier, was on here a while ago, haven't seen him in on this forum in a long time though.

Turbo 3800 Cavalier w/ PT-67

This one is the nicest SRT-4 I've seen. I wish it still had the spoiler though. The front end just looks mean.

SRT-4

1. Use your money on something else besides a turbo cavalier, such as a better car for that

2. neons are sick, but under estimated highly.

But at the end of the day it's a junky Dodge Neon.

I would take an SRT-4 over a GP anyday. Mod for mod they will take a GP in a straight line or around a corner. They are 5 speed and are much lighter. I think they would be much more fun to drive. The auto Grand Prix boat is quite boring.

Nothing wrong with that cavalier, I like the front clip because it shows the i/c and piping, but that's it. It looked much better when it was white on page 25 or something.

The SRT 4 needs a spoiler, it doesn't look right. The cavy is nice, I like it.

I gotta respect the Neons, they made a strong showing at the All Chrysler Nats I attended in Carlisle and a great many of them were very well finished cars. Nothing "ricey"about them at all...and some were blinding fast. I dont care what anyone says, when you can get street driven car to run low 11s, even if youre running the bottle, that is just plain fast. Light makes might as they say and they will get around corners pretty decent as well. The 2.4 in turbo trim is pretty stout engine...the very same engine powering my Cruiser which was a selling point for me.

The Cavalier I also have to respect for the amount of work he has put into it...but I dont think anything can ever make me get hot and bothered over that body style. I like the Cobalt marginally better but not by much. The Cobalt SS I saw at this years auto show was defintely a pocket rocket tho...5spd, 260hp turbo 2.4 Ecotec (same as the Solstice GXP) 18in rims and $20k price tag is pretty hard to beat in the bang-4-your-buck dept.

As far as the Neon being junky...ANY cheap entry level car will wind up being junky after awhile...especially if it gets raced and driven hard. Cavaliers, Neons, Escorts or even the imports will all head own the tubes. I think its to be expected since they are all cheap cars to begin with. I'm pretty sure if I flog the crap out of my Cruiser it will end up junk...and as much as I have spent in repairs and replacing worn parts on my GP, especially given that I dont race it, a lesser mechincally minded person could have easily called it junk before now. 136k miles and I've had to replace virtually every suspension piece on the car...I've had other cars that went 150k and never had so much as a front hub, much less two.

There was an article about a guy who drove around in a turboed POS (I think it was a geo prizm). That would be funny as heck to get owned by a prizm. smile
