Other than a new PCM (which is what I'm assuming you mean by computer), I'm not sure of a way.

Yeah that what i mean.
I want the speed limiter gone w/o having to pump 91 octane gas. Becasue the PCm raises the rpm shift from 5800 to 6100 or something like that. I jsut cant do the gas. Anyone know of anything out there that pulls the top speed limiter off?

You would have to know someone with a programer that can raise the limiter for you. Otherwise new PCM.

the difference in price here is only 10 cents different a gallon...so its $3.12 for 87, $3.22 for 91, and $3.32 for 93...the difference when filling my tank is only $3.00 between 87 and 93, so id rather pay the money...and i go through 2 tanks a week....

Premium is only about $3.00 per tank more than regular.
It's more affordable than you think.

Power tuner is the only way to raise the limiter (you can't get rid of it, you can only raise it).

What are the price differences?

I do quite a bit of travelling across the states cheap places expensive places and in between. 99.9% of all the prices I've seen premium is 20-23 cents per gallon more then regular which works out to about $3 more per tank. Remember from E your only going to put in about 14.5 gallons.

So 14.5 x .20= $2.90 more per "Full" tank.

Herc just did a write up about this to I think Acefighter about putting in 93 because in the long run if you use something less, then you will actually be paying more! Do a search, it has been a recent topic.

Why are you concerned about gas? You don't think flooring it past 100 uses that much?

Save yourself some money. Buy regular unleaded and dont floor it / go 100+.

I buy unleaded regular cuz its cheaper, I dont have a SC so I dont really need it, and I dont need to use higher octane gas to help shave a minute or two off my commute to work.

X2! You'll also save money on speeding tickets and higher insurance, among other things; unless of course, you like seeing flashing lights in your rear view mirror... wink

all this talk about gas prices and we still pay less than half what other countries pay for gas. either suck it up and take it like a man, or walk to work and not spend the money! SHEESH!!

Studies show that you get NO benefits from running mid grade or premium if your car only requires regular. For S/C'd and high compression motors it is a requirement, but in most other instances, why waste the money?

10cents a gallon?! Must be nice, wow.. I pay 8-12 cents for 91 a LITRE! For 94 octane, 14 cents :p (for the extra 3 or 4 cents a litre, I am just using 94 from now on I think.
