Since i've done alot with my car and what not I've always thought of entering my car in a car show. I'm sure there is some around the Minneapolis area in Minnesota. I just dont know where to look when it comes to these shows. Anyone here have ne advice on finding these car shows and are there diffrent types of car shows? I mean i know my car wouldnt be in a "super car" carshow...i mean i just am wondering how to get involved.

Search online for car cruise nights in your area; they usually have a message board set up with flyers for upcoming shows. Here's one place to check out: http://www.msra.com/ They have a list of events here: MSRA Events

Check the automotive section of the classifieds in your local paper. We also have a section in our paper that comes on Saturdays called "drive time" it usually lists a few events.

If you see a car show stop by and start looking around for flyers, there are usually people walking around dropping them in the windows of the show cars.

Most shows, or cruise in's are the same. Some(not many) specify a certain year and older cars.... Other than that I don't know why you couldn't join in on the fun. I've been showing my car for about 5 years. It can be a lot of fun, especially if you can get a few other GP's to sit next to.

Clean is #1 most important, inside, outside, underside, top side. its all important, I spent 2 whole days (about 18hrs total) cleaning my car. Make sure your trunk and door/trunk jambs are clean. They check that stuff if its a judged show.

I had to do it all outside so I had to fight the sun. And when it went away I had to stop. Correct me if Im wrong but dont you have a garage you could do it in? I mean just wash it outside then go to town after its in the garage and wax it. clean the windows, jambs, and vaccum and put something on your interior to make is snazzy (armor all is not recomended).
