OK here's the deal...I gave Bobby his first dibs and he took a pass.
I wont be doing anything until after May 15th to see what happens with our union contract (since strike would definitely screw my financial picture)
The wheels are 18x9 AFS chrome bullitts which I paid $895 for...the tires are Riken Raptors 245/45/18s and are still in fairly good condition (see pics below) those were about $400 or so... I also have the bullitt three bar spinner caps which were about another $100. If anyone has a set of black 17in bullitts then I would interested ina possible trade and I would want to keep the spinners. If I dont get another set of bullitts then I have no use for the spinner set.
One wheel has a slight scrape on the lip from a brush with a curb, aside from that they are pretty much flawless. So have a look at the pics and PM me if you are interested with price offer. I'm pretty much not willing to go under $500 so that lets you know where the bottom is. I'll keep them before I give them away.

What does it look like with spinners off? Anythign go there if they are off?

I'd love some rims, but I would like to go 17 like you are planning.
I'd like to do some other stuff too, but I am just dropping all sorts of money with no income!

And why aren't you keeping them again?

Thanks Bobby...if you take the spinners off the stock center caps fit right back on.

I'm taking the wheels off cuz I'm wanting a softer ride since its easier on my back on along ride (and my wife likes that better too) plus the directional tire design roars as the tires wear in and I would prefer an all-season tire tread.
It handles great with these tires but I willing to trade that away for smoother ride.

I'm not willing to take any less than the $500 I mentioned in the first post...shipping will depend on where they have to go so that will vary. the price will be plus shipping.

I'm not trying to be difficult here but as I said, the wheels were pricey and I wont toss them away. I dont need to get rid of them that badly. I cant leave my car up on blocks just to offer someone else a bargain. May 15th will the earliest the wheels will come off the car...most likely later than that so I can get replacements.

Here's Tbat's wheels without the spinners ... a little closer look than what Bobby posted.

I can tell you from seeing them 'up close and personal', that they look great on the car.

Wow, thats a hell of a deal for rims with tires, but Im going with black rims to complete my black and white look, so chrome rims are out for me. But I understand tbat about your back especially if you ride in a gp for about 30minutes and more.

So what wheels will you be getting once these wheels are sold.

actually the Regal seats turned out to be a bust since they came out of a sedan I cant use them in a coupe since they dont fold forward.

Rook had wanted them initially but hs work hours got cut so he had to back out. I still have them and in lovely condition...$200 will carry them away (both front and back) plus however you can get them shipped. Here are a few pics...both fronts are power and heated

Yup, I had planned on taking them before the idiots at work started screwing me over. Anyway, I still will if no one grabs them before I get the cash. :p

At least come May, I'll be out of college and have the time to look for another job if hours are still an issue by then.

Wow, I like. I might be interested in those in the future if rook doesn't come thru. So these seats would fit in my car right. What material do I need to buy or use to insert this seats in the gp.

If I'm not mistaken, the front seats are a straight drop in from what Tbat told me. The rear seat is the one that requires some modification. It's a folding back, unlike our pass-through design. I think he also said it was slightly wider.

the back seat is a 60/40 split fold down...for my coupe the cushion fit right in but the backrest needs to be narrowed a couple inches...I dont know if that would be the same issue in a sedan. As far as the fronts are concerned its as close to plug-n-play as it gets...the bolt down hardware is exactly the same and the plugs for the powerseats are the same. My car doesnt have power passenger seat or heat so those items would have to be wired up if you chose to use them.

I had considered taking them to the upholstery shop and having the covers and cushins transferred to my seat frames so I could still use them, but the cost to do that was almost as much as just having new covers done (I think maybe he just wasnt keen on the idea) so I figure selling them to someone who could use them is a better option.

The seats are graphite leather which I was fine with since I'm planning on taking my gray cloth down a notch in color...goes with the black dash and trim I've already done...if you dont have the gray or graphite interior then there would be color clash (unless you intend to change)

would those be 245/50/17 or 245/45/17? Your Bullitts are gray like Bobbys right? If you have 245/45s they may not ride much better than my 18s since thats a fairly short sidewall tire.

I think the biggest issue we would have would be shipping since anything crossing the border is stupid expensive. You could ask about a price but I'm sure its crazy.

I will consider $500 without spinners plus shipping if I dont get a better offer between now and the time I take them off the car.

I still need to decide what I'm gonna put back on the car lol

oh how soon they forget the mental discipline of the Bat...no insult intended here guys but right now the two options are...

1) another set of smaller, black bullitts so I can still use my spinners

2) a set of 15inchers so I can do the stout RWL look in my sig

I wont be going back to stock sizes, just something with a thick sidewall for a good ride.

I'll tell ya fellas, this business of trying to find a set of 15x8 wheels in a positive offset is proving tougher than I thought. I'm gonna make some phone calls this week but so far the only ones I have come across are a set of polished rims by American Racing that are 15x8 w/+20mm offset...not sure if that is quite enough.

The second set is Centerline Retros, which are beautiful polished aluminum and are the same 15x8 but with a +27mm offset which I think would work nicely...but they are *cough*...$296 PER wheel.

I'm gonna have to do some measuring and see if this 245/60/15 will stick out on these +20mm rims.

I think I finally found a setup that will work. Its not exactly the style I had in mind but I think it might do the trick.

Eagle Alloys series 146 comes in a 15x8 with a +27mm offset in 5x114.3 pattern. These will accept the 245/60/15 T/As I have been eyeing.

I did some measuring and given the difference in offset combined with the difference in 9in down to 8in width, the outer lip of the wheels should actually be about 1/4 in farther than it is now...so it should still have stout look.
here is the wheel

Eagle Alloy 146

Now if the union and the company can just settle the labor contract I should be in business.

Make sure they'll clear the brakes too... Don't need ya to buy wheels only to have them scrape the calipers. eek

So sticking with chrome, I thought you were going with the sig pic wheels?

Looks like that rim jets out off the lugs, so you may have brake clearance!

Nice looking wheel, but when you plug in your car's info on that page it comes back with "Does Not Fit": Eagle Alloy 146

If I plug in my cars info mustang bullitts dont fit either laugh If you plug in info for a 2004 Mustang (last year for 15 in) I think you'll get a fit.

I stopped at a local wheel tire place this morning and he carries those wheels. So I'm sure he'll be willing to dry fit one to check for clearance. Since the stock GP SE comes with 15in steelies then these should work but one step at a time. I was just happy to find a 15x8 with a positive offset.

I would definitely like to have gone with the wheels in my sig but they werent available in the proper size.

Ooohh 15s?

I'd look real hard at how much space you have with the calipers. On my torque stars I only have about 3/4s of an inch on the closest part of the caliper to inside rim.

I actually wouldnt at all mind sticking with 16s but the white letter tires just arent available in those sizes.

I'm sure a dry fit on the front should tell all the info I'll need to worry about...clearance for brakes and fender. I've dealt with this guy at the tire shop before and he is a fair business type. I dont think he will object at all to doing a dry fit.

So why 15s, kinda odd going down.
The newer cars today, I check out the brakes and rims, and some of those brakes are like millimeters away from the rims, it is nuts!

I dont know anything about the tire making process (wish they would put it on How Its Made)
I do know they are made from molds but thats about it so I havent understood why white letter tires arent offered anymore in the more current sizes.
I can see that on may of the 40 and 30 series tire how there isnt much sidewall to work with but many of the 16 and 17in tires have raised black letters so it seems like it could be doable.

Then again its more likely that I'm just being my oddball self and looking for something that just isnt mainstream enough...oh well,

Vive' La Difference!

You hit it on the head raised white letters just aren't in demand anymore. Just look at the trucks running BFGs AT tas and look where the white lettering is placed. On the inside so no one sees them.

I'll suck it up and live without them before I do that I think. If it turns out they dont fit the next order of business will most likely be an entirely black wheel/tire combo. Maybe a set of those NASCAR wheels from Victory...or something black with a red trim stripe.
