Its called VG2, VG2 is a radar detector that a cops has it picks up the signals that the radar gives out. BUt the radar detectors that I have and i think Austin has picks up that singal from the VG2 and shuts off..

Brown,

Sounds like you drive on 696. As long as I been driving Michigan has not had a ban on radar detectors. And I've never heard anyone say that they have ever had a ban on them

Check Ebay. I got my slighty used Passport 8500 for about $140. It was in excellent condition and works great.

hey caesar, I stick mainly to 94 and 275 but I did research them a while back and I think they were banned for a short time but the ban was recently repealed.

ive got the same one as austin i think, it works well i have it in the same spot also. ive talked to a sheriff friend of mine he said i would have a better chance of talking myself out of a ticket if i didnt have it. i figure if i have it where they cant see it i should be fine.

yeah, the radar detector pretty much throws your chance of getting off with a warning out the window. Cuz if you have a radar detector and you still get pulled over, they just look at you as an idiot. But I usually only do 10+/- over on the highway...so just about any radar detector should give me enough warning to slow down.
