they need to make sidewalls on those, because it looks so ugly just seeing all the insides of the tire

saw that quite some time ago...that will probably be the next generation of run-flats.

X2! Maybe if/when they're actually available to the public, they will have some type of sidewall. Notice they didn't show them being tested in snow and ice... wink

I was going to say... I saw a magazine article about those awhile back. Interesting to say the least.

As long as they let me do with my car what I already do, I wouldn't complain too much.

supposedly they last longer than a traditional tire. They lack a side wall just so you can see the inside of the tire to better understand the engineering of it.

They look expensive, but pretty brilliant.

Yeah, this is a repost.

I'd buy them, even without a sidewall. Combine that with the plastic rims someone posted on here...that would be a very light setup.

Not sure how they would handle burnouts and drag racing... that'd be a true test to their quality wink

Well they look cool, but if your driving in slush or snow, and you stop for a while the slush freezes in one spot....then you get a new heavy wheel weight and you would have to clean them out before you drove

Remember the video is for display of the technology. The production tires will have sidewalls and be sealed just as well as a conventional tire.

I think its brilliant and will put all those jack-asses who sell nitrogen tire filling out of business, lol

I wonder how they do on potholes and for offroad trucks though..like if you bent one of the supports would you then have a "shopping cart flat"? That would suck.

Well they show the military ones that have taken damage and they still seem to run. Even if it's wobbly or makes noise, it would get you farther than a flat tire.
