Ok... So I had something happen to me last night. For personal reasons I was trying to relieve some stress with the Pink Panther and was goofing around as I was leaving work. Namely squealing tires through all of first gear when the tranny downshifted. Ah... blue lights. Lets see... exhibition of speed, doing about 60 in a 35? Yeah, seems about right.

When the officer reaches my door, its a guy I sell parts to all the time. He asked what I was doing... "Having a bit of fun, being stupid," I said. He talked to me a bit more and just kept smiling and looking around... then said "Have a good night."

I thanked him and shook his hand, then we took a peak under the hood of my car. I'm telling you, that was by far the most amazing moment of my life when it comes to police. Not bad for my first time getting pulled over, eh? He made my night, I'll have to do something for him sometime to return the favor.

lol dang that is lucky rook! if that would have been me, i would have gotten a tint ticket, excessive speed, 60 in a 35, unlwaful use of a motor vehicle...lol

Last weekend at Assateague, I got caught on radar going 44 in a 30 and the police officer let me off with a warning. That was super lucky. It was nighttime but there are no turns from where I started speeding to where I got caught, so nowhere to camp and use radar. I think I got pulled over by a phantom.

I used to relieve stress with a little "spirited driving", but I've mellowed a bit since then...

I bet he let you off since you were honest up front and weren't really a safety issue to other people.

Friend? I don't even know the guy's name. I'm sure our past interactions had more than enough to give me an edge though. It helps that I'm a person with a nice personality.

Friend or not... This police officer knew you because you sell that parts to him. If it is other police officer who never knew you then you will busted for sure. Just saying...

But yeah sometimes honest to them will let you off hook but it is not 99.9% work. I told police officer that I admit my mistake part. I get off hook few times that I was too young and speeding long time ago.
