Hit up International Speedway (Daytona) for a little scanning and see if any people were hanging out. No hangers. I was approaching the highway to get some good scans. I see some Tiburon pull up next to me with some clean cut fella. I figure naw he won't go. Then I hear something nice. And older 5.0 with the 302, some dude and his chick. So we both hit it from the line and I get a few cars on him. I see him spin some. Well at next light we chat a few words. He says he can't get traction, but said it was the 302 with some work done to it and it almost sounded Turboed but I don't think it was. So light turns green and we go again. I lose him in the rear view. He seems to have lost traction again and can't drive worth a darn. He said at the second light his tires are dry wrought and are 5 years old. Would of been fun if he could drive.

Yeah, excuses excuses... I bet he missed a shift too... both times... :rolleyes:

I did an informal race with my Strat against a coworkers Cobalt SS (modded) as we left work tonight. I was full throttle in 3rd and shifted to 4th. We were right even, but I could hear him easing on and off the throttle playing with me.

302s are easy to outrun, unless they have work done on them. They aren't fast in stock form.

Def wasn't stock, but the dude couldn't drive.
