Well I'm thinking about getting one of the 2 to play GTA IV. I don't feel like waiting for it to come out for PC (if it even does..) so I wanna get an Xbox 360 or PS3 but im wondering what some of the benefits are of each one and which one would be better to go with. With the PS3 I noticed its got 2 USB ports in front, would it be possible to hook a keyboard up to it and a mouse and be able to game with a mouse and keyboard?

360s are cheaper and have more games.

PS3s have free online play and a bit better graphics.

wouldn't trade my 360 for a PS3 though... online play for 360 is like 50 bucks for 13 months.

PS3 has built in Blueray no additional hardware. GT5 prologue is on the streets with a full release to follow plus a new offroad game called Baja is coming out in august it's similar to GT but crosscountry racing. The main event is the Baja 1000. It's a four hour race with no repeat territory so no mind numbing laps. No pause either lol if you need a break you tell the AI to run for you. Online play is free. My boys and I have been playing the snot out of COD4.

PS you can run periferals such as keyboard and mice the shooter games are even written for their use if you so wish.

Just an FYI, but the 360 has 3 USB ports. One on the back where a wifi network adapter can plug in, and 2 on the front for controllers to recharge. I don't think the 360 USB ports support keyboards or mouse though, but I could be wrong.

the 360 usb does support keyboard, i use mine all the time.

Oh PS3 has Wifi built in no adapter And blue tooth as well. For a headset you can buy a cheap bluetooth headset for cell phones and use that for chat. Plus my son figuered out how to play the PS3 on his PSP.

Thats called Remote Play or something, its basically the PSP is the remote for the PS3.


Sorry, just thought i'd clarify cause when I read that I thought you meant the PSP can emulate PS3. The PSP can't even emulate PS2 so...

Hercman, tell your son to check out psp-hacks.com, their is a ton of stuff the PSP can do with custom firmware.
