Ok I got a reply from Brian.

Quote:
Hey, Robert! I don't see a problem with that, but just to keep everyone happy, send me a copy for final approval so I can check it out before it goes to print.
So now to get the ball rolling.

The key is all calanders will be sold at cost for publishing and shipping. No one on this board is to make a profit from this endeavor.

idk but i definately think we need a HUGE group shot for the cover!!! thumbsup that way everyone can have there car in the calendar and it will show us as one big happy car family...lol....but my idea still stands for the midwesterners to meet in central/south central wisconsin, if anyone wants to do that just let me know and i will think of a nice place to do it at! we could also hit up Great Lakes Dragway!!

I will be getting with Herc this weekend so we can hash out the details. In the meantime, be thinking about taking some calendar worthy pics.

We are going to need some one to handle dealing with the publisher and take orders. Any volunteers?

I was thinking that since we have a hard time getting meets together that the cover would be a collage(sp?) of ALL the high res quality photos that are submitted for voting. This way most of the cars will be on/in the calander and would be more desirable to those who didn't make the so called cut.

Oh Mods, are we doing just body shots or are good engine shots included as well? I *might* make it in THAT way...

Please let Herc and I hash out the details before anything is done on this.
Once we get all the details hashed out, we'll make them public.
I would really hate to see a lot of effort being put forth only to find out the type of pic some of you are trying to do won't be allowed, for what ever reason.

There will be plenty of time for pics to be taken.

Ok all. If you want to set meets up for what ever reason please do in another thread. This thread is for suggestions and rules only. No photos are being accepted at this time and no rules have been hashed out. I'm going to go through and delete all non essential posts. This is for Official Use Only.

Thank you

i suggested to Herc that we could try and get them printed through my work because i work for a printing company. The only downside is that, we would need to know exactly how many we need upfront because my boss wont just print one at a time. He would need to print a mass amount at a time. So we just need to know exactly how many people WANT calendars and who is willing to front the money right away..If anyone has any questions just PM me and i will try to answer them.

cafepress is the easiest and more than likely the most economical way of making these calenders. our local car club did that this past year and they turned out great. I think they were something like $16-18 shipped, no minimum required.

Cafepress sounds like a good idea. This way no one has to "front" the money or rely on enough orders to actually place the order.
