my neighbor had a fuel pump go out of his 97 grand am he got another used pump from a friend of his there was a years diffrence in the pumps the one he took off the 97 has a little black connector with 4 wires going to it the one he got from his friend doesnt have that can he still make that pump work right he said he has no ideal what the black connector on top of the pump does the pump from the 97 has 7 wires the other one has 3 i think any info will be helpful here.. thanks in advance
