I read through. The only thing I didn't really like was that to move forwrd or backward you used your body weight to accelerate. This might take awhile to learn, let alone safety issues. I think controls would be much better. If you want to accelerate you have to lean way forward. And if you want to maintain that speed, then you have to stay forward, limiting comfortness.
I think it is a cool project, but I definitely think it needs some controls of some sort.
