Leaving work tonight I am at a stoplight (one of those annoying 4-5 minute long reds), just deep in my own brain, when I am brought back to reality by the sound a revving fartcan.

I glance to my left and sure enough there is what was once a honda civic, but is now all primered bodykit and 8" exhaust tip, revving at me.
I do not condone street racing, and I would not participate in something I consider dangerous, but this guy my age or older is just sitting there revving for a good sixty seconds at the red.

So, green pops up, I ease into it so he has a chance to floor it and then I dust him. I hit 60 before realizing it and slow down to 45 (the speed limit). And suddenly mr. rev-my-engine is making an effort to NOT line up with my car.

Sorry guys, it just humored me so thought I'd share it.

And boy, I do love the sound of that LS1 around 4-5k revs thumbsup

Nice job. It's good you found some idiot dumb enought to race american muscle, versus rice, in a straight line. What an idiot that guy must have been.

Well the GTO really isnt American muscle. Its a car that was designed and developed in Australia that uses a vette engine. So yes, the muscle is american, but the its sitting inside a technically foreign car. So is it really American muscle?
