Hi I just stumbled upon this site via Google. Last May I bought a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. My first car that I bought all on my own. I used to have a 1998 Mustang GT which broke my heart. It ran great for about 5000 miles and then everything started going wrong. I grew up around Fords and was kind of hesitant about getting a GM, but after test driving the GTP I was sold. Some of my die-hard Ford friends still won't talk to me but oh well. It's a better car. It will eat up a Mustang GT and I can still fit my friends in the back seats! This looks like a cool forum and I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time here!

Not yet. I'm working in Florida this summer but I'm from Los Angeles. All of my computer and photo stuff is back home. I'll be glad to post some pics when I get back to L.A.

glad to have another convert to the breed...I thought I wanted a Firebird but the room and comfort sold me...I was just sorry to see GM stop making coupe versions...the new GXP is a bad monster, I just wish it was offered with two less doors...this is a great bunch here but we do have a member in Iraq on duty who managed to post pics of his ride laugh ...so you may have to bum a digi froma workmate (I dont think these guys will wait til summer is over)...and if you love your ride now, wait til you make just a few mods and see how much power is in there! hammer hammer

A stock GTP shouldn't be too much slower than a Mustang. Plus the kicker is that the GTP has a nice interior. Unline the bland Ford interiors.

Nice buy.
