Anyone watch it, I sure did. Steelers probably had the best first day.

1st Round - Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois
2nd Round - Limas Sweed WR Texas

Sweed was a big-time steal because a lot of people had him projected a low 1st high 2nd round pick. Big receiver 6'4" 215lbs, just what we need! That RB can pound the ball too! AWESOME DRAFT FOR THE STEELERS!!!!

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!

I'm not impressed with the Steeler's picks. I think maybe you are a fan who is a bit enthusiastic.

Mendenhall had exactly one good year.

Sweed was injured a lot and didn't do as good as his size should have allowed him to do IMO.

Alot of linemen were drafted in the first yesterday. Not a single WR. SF bolstered both lines yesterday with Kentwan Balmer DT and Chilo Rachal G. Nice thing is KB was a late first and CR was an early second so their salaries should be very cap friendly.

Holy cow the browns don't have pick until the 4th.

SD has no 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round

Who me? .....NO.....lol wink

Yeah but it doesn't matter if he only had one good year. Joey Harrington and Rex Grossmen had FANTASTIC careers in the NCAA (+1 great year). They still haven't panned out to be anything great in the NFL!

True Sweed was hurt his whole senior year, but finally the Steelers pick a TALL WR! As long as his wrist is OK, he will be a great #2 WR.

I think Kansas City had a good draft also, even though they have 13 picks.
