I will be headed to Bahrain in a few days, flight leaves out of Norfolk, Va on Tuesday afternoon. I accepted a civil service job with the Department of Defense/Navy as a marine surveyor. I'll be writing repair jobs for ships and ensuring the repairs are completed in accordance with the job specifications. It's an 18 month gig in Bahrain with option to extend there or take the next availble position back stateside after the initial 18 months. My 18 year old daughter will be taking over my GTP in the mean time. She's quite responsible and is the only person I've ever felt comfortable with as a passenger. Ever notice how some people just have good driving instincts and some don't. Well, my wife and son are a bit lacking, but my daughter reminds me of me behind the wheel, so the Daytona will be in good hands while I am out of country. I plan on buying one of the new Challengers, Hemi of course, when they come out next year also, so she might end up having the car permanantly. Hopefully, I'll be able to get to this site.

Thanks. I've been there quite a few times when I was active duty Navy. At least they have cold beer now, the first time I was there in 1981, cold beer was virtually impossible to find.

My dad was offered a civilian job in iraq a couple years ago. You can make some really good money doing that. Stay safe and best of luck for you.
