Tim called me. He is at the hospital, and he needs all of your prayers. His Grandfather had a heart attack this morning. And he has been in the hospital all day. I know Tim is haveing a very rough time with it. He called me and told me to post this, he needs prayers, he is very scared hes going to lose his Grandfather. So please everyone pray.

yes he had a heart attack of 8.6. Wednesday night he was complaining about bad chest pain but would NOT go to the hospital for it. he thought that he had just pulled a muscle from working outside in his garage. Well thursday morning rolls around and he wakes up in worse condition and tells my grandma that they need to get to the hospital FAST. I didnt think anything of it when i heard him caughing because my aunt had come over the previous night(shes a nurse for froedert) and she said that she didnt think anything was wrong with his heart. He had NO irregular heart beat, his pulse was PERFECT as well as Blood Pressure. Well thursday morning comes and 15 minutes after they arrived to the hospital he began having the heart attack. They also found that he had coronary artery disease and 3 of his main 4 Valves were leaking. The doctor did not think that there was any chance of performing a bypass because of how badly the arterys were clogged. Needless to say they gave him a 20% or less chance to make it off the operating table. 6.5 hrs later the doctor comes in and says that he will be moved to ICU for about a week and that they had done 2 Bypasses and replaced one of the leaking valves. His heart muscle is EXTREMELY weak and he was only pumping about 20% blood out of the heart when it should be around 60%. So right now he is heavily sedated BUT he can still hear ME! For some reason he wants me to stay with him MORE than his only kids. When i left his room and his kids stayed in there they said he started to act up.

I am VERY scared that i will lose him because i never got to say "I love you grandpa" before he went to the ER yesterday morning. I want him to tell me himself that hes "ok". Once i have any kind of notion from him that hes going to "make it" i will be at MUCH MUCH more ease with myself! SO PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM!!

well...he was doing better, he is now gathering liquid in his lungs(because of constantly laying on his back and not being able to expand his airways) and his temp is reaching 101.5. The nurse said that these conditions are prime for Pnuemonia. I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE NURSE AND DOCTORS WONT DO ANYTHING TO PREVENT HIM FROM CATCHING PNUEMONIA!!!! She told me these conditions are prime(so if they are prime why arent the doctors/nurses doing anything to prevent them from happening!!!!)

I honestly dont know what i will do if i lose him! He has been my rock and EVERYTHING for me WHENEVER I need him. I came home to take a little bit of a break but i will be going back out there because i can not stand being away from him with him in that state of condition.

I lost both my grandfather (basically raised me after my dad passed when I was 10) and my father in law who was more of my father than my inlaw one year ago.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones here. I still have both my mom and dad. Dad just had his 91st birthday yesterday and my mom will be 91 on Dec. 23rd.

Do NOT waste time to tell your grandpa that you love him. Do it as soon as you get back to the ICU to see him. It's one of those things that isn't said enough.

I feel your pain and I know how tough this kind of thing is...my Mom is all I have left. No grand parents on either side.
