Looked at a 03 T-Bird yesterday...nice looking car and even has decent legroom but I cant put the top up if I'm sitting in the seat (unless I'd like to cut a hole for the top of my head) you cant recline the seat to help with the headroom issue if the seat is all the way back...if I scoot the seat forward so i can recline alittle, then the knees are up against the wheel...they just dont make sporty convertibles for us big guys...gone are the days of the full size two door ragtop...I'm about ready to take the plasma torch to my GP (or find another one I can cut up!...I did see a badazz ride online today thats not too far away from my location...a 87 Buick Grand National with T-tops...still a lot of $$ for an older car, but its gotta be the baddest V6 of all time.

The T-Bird is sadly underpowered. They had 250hp the year they debuted the retro style. The next year, it was boosted to 280hp and the dealers still couldn't get them out the door.

I'm 6'3" and pretty long in the legs...and i've sat in a Mini at the car show and it does have a surprising amount of room for the driver...however I think the cabrio version is an unattractive ride...this T-top GN has me intrigued though...might have to go have a look or check into how much of a maint headache they are.

I haven't heard much about maintenace with GNs. Probably becaus folks who own them love working on them. I'm guessing its not a picnic. The only thing a few times was annually cleaning its IC.

Even though it makes 235 HP stock, its highly susceptible to mods with little limitations.

Would I trade in mine + throw in some cash to get one? Tough call. If I really want them, I'd jump at the opportunity.

T top GN is my favorite 80s car. Gotta love that turbo V6. Which by the way is what our 3800s are based on smile Very mod friendly.

I've been looking at some more ads for GNs on eBay motors...good looking cars all except for that lackluster instrument panel...a car like that needs a serious set of gauges...looked at a couple of Buick Reatta verts as well...one of those would be pretty cool with an L67 under the hood...I know it seems like I'm rambling all over here but it just feels like there are a lot of things you could build or buy for the close to $30k that a used Vette costs.

This is the last year of the civilian version of the H1. Better hurry while you can.

Don't bother looking at a Prowler either...no headroom. You would have most of your head above the top of the windshield. They sorely lacked in power too.

no deal on the GTO there zuul...no open top version (which I think they oughta add)...even the Vette coupe has the removeable targa top...I sure do wish they had offered a GTP vert from 97-03 somewhere...I'd grab that up in a heartbeat.
