Will a 3" DP w/ ubend delete from ZZP bolt right in? I saw an earlier post about this but no one really answered it directly. Do you think it is a job for a teenager to try and handle who has very little car knowledge or should i get it done?

Thanks,
Ryan

It does bolt right up. Hardest part is getting the nuts off the studs.

I couldn't get the nuts off mine. I used an impact, extentions, and had to use a universal joint... didn't happen. So I got some help. It was a pretty decent PITA, I'd say.

The DP bolts are hard to reach(24" extension works well) and usually require a breaker bar.

When I changed UMFan's DP one of the Cat Flange bolts broke and we had to use some pretty intensive heat to get the broken bolt out with some vice grips.

Dang!! 24" extension??

Mine was definitely a PITA, it's those crazy states that use road salt... mine required a 20" breaker bar with a 8 or 9" extension (can't remember) but definitely just spray the bolts with WD40 or PB blaster everyday for about a week before you do it and that should make it alot easier.

And FWIW, I'm a teenager (18) and I did it all by myself without any help in subzero temps! So I'm sure you would be fine.

Good luck!

Cars in "road salt" states tend to have a little more of an issue removing the bolts.
Mine were so easy to remove, I was able to reuse them and they've been holding now for about 2 years or more.

For the DP you are going to need a fairly long extention.....before you try n loosen the bolts hit it with a little PB Blaster and let it sit for 5 min (stronger then WD40) right before u go to loosen the bolts try n heat up the manifold with a torch but not the bolts or original DP for it will only mess them up.....If you heat up the manifold with BP soked on it for some time they should come off easier.......good luck
