Ok I was reading through Motor Trends COTY mag and found some interesting numbers. For you stock GTPs who like to race up the on ramp here's some competition to beware of. Remember MT posted the 97 GTP as a 15.3 quarter car. Audi A3 0-60 6.1, 1/4 14.7 BMW 3 series 5.9, 14.5 Impala SS 5.7, 14.3 Charger RT 5.7, 14.3 Hyundai Azera 6.5, 15.0 Hyundai Sonata 7.1, 15.5 Infiniti M35/M45 5.4, 14.1 Lexus GS 6.4, 14.6 Lexus IS 5.3, 13.9 Mazda MX5(Miata) 6.6, 15.1 Mercedes CLS 5.4, 14.0 Mercedes R class 6.6 15.0 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 5.6, 14.2 Pontiac Solstice 6.7, 15.3 Toyota Avalon 6.1, 14.8 Volkswagon Passat 5.9, 14.4 That's just out of the 28 cars in the competition for COTY. More and more cars are getting faster and faster. Just think it took almost six years for the mass market to catch up to the performance of the 97-03 GTPs

Hmmmm... thanks H erc  I acually beat a 3 series on my way to Katy just last weekend. Didn't know they did a 14.5 in the 1/4. Looks like my car suprised me without me even knowing lol. No wonder the guy was so pissed after the race haha.

The Eclipse is starting to look good too.

Avalons do have some pep to them. I'm impressed everytime I drive my wife's Avalon, handling sucks though. It floats real bad. I told her I can get that fixed for her, but she said if I do she'll key my car.  She loves a car that floats.  It's got 15" wheels, too.
