Hi,

My boss has a new 06 jeep liberty and since he bought it, the electronic traction system light goes on sometimes, he's taken it to the dealer 5 times and they haven't fixed it. Any ideas?
cheers

I've look for info on the net but nothing about this.

Best find a Jeep forum and start searching. Jeeps can have some peculiarities with electronics. I know my dad had a Wrangler at one time that was giving problems because of a plug under the seat coming undone. His current '00 Grand Cherokee had problems related to a tranny speed sensor (which are fairly cheap for them).

My brother has a 2000 Cherokee with 105k miles. The transmission light has been on since the day he bought it.

Electrical systems in Jeeps are almost as bad as VW. Overall, Jeep is pretty reliable though.

Their 4.0 I6 is virtually indestructable.

I think it was Car & Driver (or some online magazine) that rated the top three American engines ever built. In no particular order:

1. Mustang 5.0
2. Jeep I6 4.0
3. GM 3800 V6
