When they start making consoles that can upgrade I will hop on that wagon.

Having to upgrade is why I left PCs.

Esp. with modern consoles. I think my Xbox and 360 have more oomph then my desktop.

Yes, upgrading is pricey and can be confusing, but I like to think I get every dollar I put into it, out of it.

What kinda PC do you have Hercman? I hope your not comparing your xbox to an older or lower end machine.

I love keyboard and mouse too much. I can't stand to use a controller for everything. Besides, the only game that's exclusive to a console that I would want to play is GranTurismo. Not really worth it imo.

Only good thing is more control options. But I think those that really really love the controls are just hanging on to the past. Which is fine but don't put down those who think differently.

Hanging onto the past? lol The keyboard and mouse config (mouse + WASD keys) are way faster and more precise for FPS games. So good in fact, the Xbox had a mouse and a small WASD style pad made for tournament Halo players and such.

Don't judge me for holding onto a good thing.

I believe in some cross-platform games pc players came out victorious most of time because of precise controls over the joystick.

No wonder your xbox has a better time gaming then that. Have you gotten to try out a "gaming" pc before? If not I would at least recommend it they are pretty fun.

Not gonna pay a couple grand for a gaming pc when my $299 xbox is just fine for me. Im not coordinated enough to see a benifit with keyboard mouse controls

I think it really depends on what kind of game you're playing. If you're playing an FPS, the WASD + mouse is way more precise/faster for aiming and looking around. For racing games, the controller is way easier to use and is more accurate (pressure sensors) for accelerating, braking, turning, and gear changes. Because my computer isn't nearly powerful enough to play MW2 or Assassin's Creed, I chose to go with a PS3, and it's just as fun to play FPSs on a console.

BTW, my comp plays most the modern games fine with full visual settings. I think I have $500~ invested in the components. You can have a good gaming computer without spending a grand, you just need to do your research and build instead of buy (and it's not even hard).
