I ran across this picture chop over at gminsidenews.com and was blown off my chair...I dont know if the car would look that good but the idea for the ad is just plain awesome...the poster suggested that GM bring back the Firebird as an 09 model "40th anniversary Phoenix Edition"
I think the idea has some merit...check out the chop.

I would seriously be putting one in my driveway. Excellent job on the picture. I have heard that it was slated for somewhere aroun 2011. I would love for them to come back on the 40th. That would be sooooo great.

For some reason, that is familiar .. Can't remember! I think I came across an obscure post somewhere with prototype Bird pictures, but I can't remember where or when. It was probably deleted by the Powers That Be.

Firebird version of the Camaro is pure speculation at this point. All pics of the 09 bird are chops of the Camaro concept. I don't believe GM will keep the same lines on both cars. I bet if they do a Bird version it will be more fluid and the Maro edgy. Similar to the way they did the Solstice and Sky.

By the way seen both yesterday and I have to say the Sky is one sexy machine. I'd take the sky over the Solstice any day.
