So I've bought from ProFlowers a few times. So I called them up looking for 24 Red Roses and one White Rose, in a decent vase. Well that is custom so they handed me over to a sister florist company. Talk to this guy and he types it up and the price is $120 + Shipping cost ($15-20). I was like wow, I thought when I spent like $80+ before that was high, but $140, I can make something, and I have and usually do. But I want to send them to my girlfriends job that is 2.5 hours from me, thursday or friday. I usually have bought some at publix or somewhere and created my own bouquet, and can mimi a florist quite well. But these circumstances are a little different this time. So any help out there? I can't believe one white rose makes it so "custom" of an order.

I know, I hate roses! Not sure why girls like them. They look good for a few days and make them smile. Then they look terrible until thrown away and it is depressing. What a waste of money. I don't know. Trying to surprise her besides the message weekend she already knows about!

dont get roses my gf saved every rose i got her then i said throw them all away cuz she dryed them all and they looked nasty, girls dont allways like flowers, if you give a girl roses its like saying " here watch this die" get her something else sweet get her some shoes that she has been eyeing or a outfit that she has wanted, the biggest thing mygf wants me to do is take her out to a really nice fancy restraunt and then to a movie after because we never really do anything like that just try to do something out of the ordanary and she will love it

Go to your neighborhood florist and tell them what you want. If they're an FTD florist (or one of the other network florist companies), they will be able to call a florist in the other area and get what you want.

You should have asked ProFlowers the price of 2 dozen roses and the price of a single white rose. When you got the price of them seperate, you should of told them to just stick the white rose in the center of the red roses ... problem solved and at a reduced price!!

Have you googled flower shops in her works zip code? Do you know anyone she works with that could tell you a good local florist? If not, just ask the receptionist or any other lady you can get on the phone. Any woman would help you in getting flowers to your woman. I have found my wife's friends are awesome in helping me plan and execute special things I do for her. I even have flowers delivered to a co-worker of hers, that will hide them in her office until my wife goes home. She will put them on her desk so they are there when she walks in the next morning.
