I pulled onto a main roadway, 3 lanes wide, both ways, found myself in front of an '05 Mustang GT. He had those big fog lights on the grill, looked very sharp. It was the Eleanor color. Approaching a light that was red, he swerved out from behind me to get on the line at the light. At this time I was getting a huge smile on my face because I was gunna go!
I put my left foot on the brake and held the gas up a couple of 100 rpm's, getting ready for the light to change. It changed and I launched like a bat out of hell. He was at my rear quarter all the way through the intersection. I had him through 1st gear and halfway through 2nd. A car had pulled onto the roadway ahead of us, in his lane, so I let off. He was starting to gain on me and I pretty sure he was going to get me, but I had him through the 1/8.
